Adding Colours & Shading:

When designing my characters I made sure to make each of them look quite a bit different from another. And based on their personality traits highlighted by the dialogue in the short story. I also selected particular color and hairstyles that fit best.
Outfits.
Designing Hollis' Outfit:

I went for an almost futuristic military style, I felt the traditionally styled space suits of this day an age didn't feel right. I wanted to portray a more futuristic style like I applied to the rocket.
Rocket Design:

Adding more details to my characters:
Hollis.
Adding pupils makes a real difference! :D
I played around with a mixture of colors and shapes, looks really cool.
Different poses:
Showing Stone transitioning from fear to acceptance.
I used Stone to show this in particular because he starts off so frightful and ends up seeing the beauty of space and accepting his death.
Removing some of the faces on images and replacing them. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to redraw most of them, but I did add more detail, pupils, highlights and shadows.
